    1. Guessing Directions on a plane paper is the key to answer this type of questions. One simple way is imagine yourself at the point as given in question and follow the directions as given in the following article.
    2. Be confident and have clarity while moving forwards or backward or in any direction. Always remember the rule that your front side is North, Back side is South, your right hand side is East and left hand side is west.

    3. For example in a question if it is given as "Praveen moves 50 meters towards north side and then turns right side and travels 25 meters. ". Then take a point on paper draw a straight line towards top indicating your are moving front side. Then turn right means, turn east side as east side is always your right hands side. .
    4. This type of questions tests your ability to trace, follow, perceive the directions described is some complicated language.
    5. Always imagine yourself in the given question person place  and  follow the directions. This strategy gives you 99 % correct answers.
    6. As mentioned above language is used by examiner to confuse the candidates. Actually examiner tries to tell  directions in hard language so that you get confused. What you have to do is look at only the directions provided and do not care language. Interpret the directions correctly in given complicated language.

7.In some questions the shortest distance between two points is asked. In that case, distance is calculated using formula  c2=a2+b2

    Example :
Question: Poornachander  travels 25 meters towards south, then he turns left and travels 30 meters, then turns right and travels 15 meters. How far is he from the starting point and in which direction ?

    Solution with Explanation:
Step 1 → So take a paper and put a dot . Now as given in first line of question  Poornachandra travels 25 meters towards south,  draw a straight line backwards(South direction) ( See diagram on directions at the top) and note the 25 meters value by line side.

Step 2→ Next he turns left side and travels 30 meters . Imagine yourself standing on that point and facing in arrow directions. Now you have to turn left side and travel for 30 meters.

Step 3: Next he turns right side and travels 15 meters. So again imagine yourself standing at end point and facing arrow direction. Now turn towards your right hand side and travel 15 meters. i.e draw a straight line from above end point towards south side.

Finally the questions asks in which direction and distance he traveled from starting point. As we can see above , he is finally facing towards South Direction. and he traveled a total distance of 25+30+15= 70 meters.
