You can easily solve cube roots of any given number by using following technique. This short cut method is very useful for students who are going to attempt Competitive exams of IBPS,SBI,SSC and other Job entrance tests.
Please like it support our work1. Remember the cubes for numbers 1 to 10 and the last digit of the cubes.See below table
2. Last digits can be easily remembered because for 1,4,5,6,9,10 there cube roots last digit is same
and for numbers 2&8 and 3&7 last digit flips.
That's it ! Now you can solve any number Cube Root within 10 seconds. Let us see with an example
Question: What is the cube root of 32768 ?
Solution:
Last digit of the given number, i.e 8 corresponds to 2 (see above table) . so write down 2
Then leave the last 3 digits and look at remaining two digits i .e 32
32 is in between 27 and 64, which are cube roots of 3 and 4 respectively(see above table). We have to always take lower side number. So in this case it is 3
Now write down 3 in front of 2 which we got from above
So overall we got 32 as the answer. That's it
Not clear yet ? let us see another example
Question: What is the cube root of 175616 ?
Solution:
Last digit of the given number is 6 which corresponds to 6 (see above table). So write down 6
Then leave last three digits and see remaining 3 numbers i.e 175
175 is in between 125 and 216 which are cube roots of 5 and 6(see above table) . We have to always take lower side number. So in this case it is 5
Now write down 5 in front of 6. It becomes 56. This 56 is the answer for above question
Note: This technique works for cube roots up to 100 and in every competitive exam the questions are asked within this range only.
